The Oakridge Estate Hotel in Van Nuys

The Oakridge Estate is a historic landmark that dates back to 1937. It was built by actress Barbara Stanwyck and architect Paul Williams.

The house has a lot to offer: It is located on the top of a hill, overlooking the entire San Fernando Valley. It is also surrounded by vineyards, orchards and other gorgeous landscape.

Its main floor features a great room with a soaring ceiling and wood flooring. It is also fitted with a fireplace.

This room has a view of the garden and the pool area. It can accommodate four people.

It has a kitchen and bathroom.

It is an excellent choice for families with children.

In addition, the property offers a tennis court and an outdoor pool.

This hotel is close to a number of local attractions, including Warner Center and California State University Northridge. It is also near Six Flags Magic Mountain Theme Park.

The rooms at The Oakridge Inn are comfortable and offer a range of amenities. The rooms come with a private bath and are equipped with a TV.

It is an ideal base for exploring Van Nuys and North Hollywood. It is located just 12 minutes from Warner Center and 25 miles from Six Flags Magic Mountain Theme Park.

Unlike most hotels, The Oakridge Inn has a restaurant that serves breakfast and dinner. Its staff is attentive and friendly.

It offers free WiFi and a 24-hour front desk. It is also pet-friendly.

The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with a large TV and a private bath. They are equipped with a safety deposit box and a hair dryer.

There is a parking lot for guests who wish to use their own vehicle.

They also offer a tour of the house and grounds. The tour is a great way to learn about the history of this estate.

The home was originally owned by actress Barbara Stanwyck and her agent Zeppo Marx. They shared a love for horses and racing and purchased 127 acres of land in the San Fernando Valley.

During the 1930s, Paul Williams designed several celebrity homes in the area. However, he did not design the houses for Stanwyck or Marx.

After her death, Victoria Oakie donated the home to USC. She also authored books about her life at the house.

Today, it is managed by the City of Los Angeles and offers a public tour.

The tour is free and is open to the public. It is offered once a month.

It is a beautiful, historic estate that dates back to 1937. It is a must-see for all visitors to Los Angeles.

In 1990, the home was deemed a historic landmark to protect it from future development. Luckily, it survived the 2008 Sayre Fire.

While the fire did not destroy the house itself, it left a significant amount of damage to the surrounding neighborhood. In the years since, many homeowners in the Oakridge neighborhood have repaired their homes or moved out to find more stable living arrangements.
